Fifteen

Clearly, I was given the name Scarlett, by my mother and I know that thanks to my grandma.

I've been called by the name Scarlett for two decades and more and all of a sudden, a man wants to change my name to Raven.

Raven…

"Take a seat." Liam sighs.

Ignoring my question about the Raven he's always calling me.

Or do I look like a Raven he used to know.

I listen anyway and quietly take a seat, letting the food in front of my eyes control my legs.

I take a seat, and so does Liam.

We are both quiet.

"You can start eating," He says, noticing how my eyes keep bouncing from his face to the food.

I gently take the fork right beside my plate and dig in.

I try not to acknowledge the fact that Liam is right beside me, and let myself eat comfortably.

"It must be annoying right?" Liam sighs,

I turn to him

"Hmm?" I say, my mouth already full with duck breast.

"Calling you Raven, you find it annoying don't you?" He sighs.

I forcefully swallow the food in my mouth before speaking.
