Chapter Seventeen

My small smile quickly turned into a scowl. "Fuck!" I said through gritted teeth. "I don't want to see him." I held back a gulp.

"Forgive me, Don, but your father was insistent you see him now," Cara added as she shuffled around on her feet uncomfortably.

I hid my anger and rubbed my eyes. It was not Cara's fault but rather that fucking bastard's. Why did he want to see me anyway? Maybe he had more insults to give or maybe he wanted to slap me again.

"Fine, I will go. Eric, I do apologize for the interruption. I have to see my father," I said. Then I stood up and pushed my seat in rather aggressively.

"I will come with you," Eric uttered.

Before I could protest he took a hold of my hand and walked me out. He took charge and it was sexy as fuck. I couldn't help but admire what he was doing. Father was truly a repulsive creature and Eric coming with me made me feel somewhat safer.

I decided to leave my car behind and instead be driven to see father in one of the SUV's my guards
