After an exchange of pleasantries, they dished out the food and started eating.

"Feels like old times," Janet began. "Having the whole family together. Sigh, but alas, the devil is never happy when people are happy," she chipped and Bryson stared at her with a frown.

He knew exactly what she was doing, and that was to make Dede feel unwelcomed on the table but he smiled when an idea of a response came to mind.

"Yeah, it was good old times until the angel we knew turned out to be Lucifer himself," Bryson retorted with a smirk and Melissa gasped.

"Did he just describe her as a devil?" was the question in Melissa's eyes as he stared at Bryson.

"Really," Janet scuffed. "last I check home wreckers are not angels," she submitted rolling her eyes and Bryson clenched his fist.

"That is enough conversations around folktales," Jacob intervened. "So how is the company doing? Anything interesting?" he asked directing his question to Bryson.
